COVID Response Special Fund
UPDATE: We raised over $27,000 in four weeks, thanks to your help! While this special campaign is over, you are still welcome to donate to the fund and the monies will go towards the projects below.
The North Wasco County Education Foundation is excited to launch a special COVID Response Special Fund, starting April 15th.
Our goal is to raise at least $20,000 over the next 4 weeks to support the North Wasco County School District 21 in providing key resources they have identified to support students (& their families) in need throughout our district.
After quickly surveying the administration, principals, and food service, these are the top needs we are raising money for-
Enhanced Technology Access for All Students in District:
✅Chromebooks for all kids to have access to distance learning and replacement devices if they get damaged while at homes (with matching support from Google).
✅Internet access for all (includes hotspots and internet vouchers for families who lack access).
Basic Needs for Students and their Families Experiencing Hardships:
✅Grocery & gas gift card for weekend backpack program
We are seeking cash donations at this time. While you may be compelled to donate products, we cannot gather and organize those at this time. Food donations can be made to the Oregon Food Bank.
The distribution and delivery of these items will be coordinated by the school district. There may be a need for volunteers, we will let you know.
Tax-deductible donations can easily be made via this Paypal link, or checks can be made to "Education Foundation of North Wasco County SD21" and mailed to:
